Hasta antes de la pandemia, el metal peruano se encontraba en un excelente momento, conciertos semanales en todo el país, producciones de mejor calidad y con una periodicidad muy prolífica , las giras de bandas nacionales en el exterior comenzaban a tener muy buena convocatoria, el Grupo peruano de Estudios de Metal acababa de finalizar la primera expo Metal en el Ministerio de Cultura y se suponía que el 11 y 12 de Junio se realizaba el primer congreso internacional de metal en la Universidad Católica, varios festivales importantes, etc.
